A combined heat and power (CHP) system, able to run on 100% hydrogen, said to be the first of its kind in North America, is set to be installed at Enbridge Gas’ Technology and Operations Centre (TOC) in Markham, Ontario, Canada.
2G Energy revealed it had partnered with Enbridge and CEM Engineering to install its hydrogen-powered CHP system, which is set to be fuelled by an existing electrolyser on site.
Once installed, 2G says the system will enable Enbridge to evaluate the feasibility of designing, building, operating, and maintaining a 115kW hydrogen-fuelled system to support or replace up to 90% of the facility’s energy.
