200MW hydrogen facility planned for the Port of Rotterdam

The Port of Rotterdam’s Holland Hydrogen I project will soon be producing green hydrogen for industry and the transport sector – and today (Jan 10), plans took a huge step forward.

Having received inked a supply contract with project lead Shell, thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlrone Engineers has confirmed that it will install a 200MW electrolysis plant at the project site.

With the first construction work for the electrolysers likely to be in the springtime this year, the project partners are keen to get going, with hydrogen production likely to begin in 2024.
