600MW green hydrogen-based ammonia project in Angola to miss 2025 FID: reports


The final investment decision (FID) on a 600MW green hydrogen and ammonia project located in Angola will reportedly be delayed due to a lack of demand.

The initiative, expected to be the first of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa, is being led by CWP Global, Angola’s state-owned oil and gas company, Sonangol, and German engineering firms Conjuncta and Gauff.

However, according to reports, CWP Founder and CEO, Mark Crandall, has confirmed a lack of offtake has delayed the project’s 2025 FID.
