Aberdeen City Council wants to start developing Aberdeen’s Hydrogen Hub; search for a joint venture partner begins

Aberdeen City Council is looking for a joint venture partner to develop Scotland’s first commercially scalable and investable hydrogen production site – the Aberdeen Hydrogen Hub.

Announcing the search today (June 24), the Council said the hub will work across multiple sectors including housing, heating and transportation and accelerate the growth of a hydrogen economy in Scotland.

It is believed that the new partnership will build on the city’s existing hydrogen infrastructure and transport projects, including a fleet of hydrogen-powered buses, public sector vehicles and waste trucks.
