Acorn CCS and hydrogen project signs MoU with Scottish gas terminals

The Acorn carbon capture storage (CCS) and hydrogen project’s partners revealed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) today (July 16) with the owners of the SEGAL and FUKA gas terminals in St Fergus, UK.

The Acorn CCS and hydrogen project will work with the owners of two of the St Fergus gas terminals on plans to capture existing carbon emissions from its operations.

Emissions from the two plants would be transported through existing oil and gas infrastructure to be stored safely and permanently in rock formations beneath the seabed.
