Adani rolls out hydrogen truck for coal transport amid fossil fuel expansion


Adani Group has deployed a pilot hydrogen fuel cell truck that will transport coal from mines to power plants.

The truck, with a capacity to carry up to 40 tonnes of coal over 200km, will be used to transport the fossil fuel from the state-owned Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company coal mine Gare Pelma III.

Adani Enterprises has also been appointed as the mine developer and operator, adding to the group’s 155 million tonne per year coal extraction capacity.
