Akasol to supply innovations for Alstom hydrogen train

Akasol, a German manufacturer of high-performance lithium-ion battery systems, will supply its battery systems for Alstom’s Coradia iLint hydrogen powered trains.

The AKASytem AKM POC battery systems from Akasol will provide the key dynamic storage component for the hydrogen train, powered by electric engines.

Wystrach supplies tank systems for world’s first hydrogen-powered train

Each of the Coradia iLint hydrogen trains are equipped with two high-performance battery systems with a total capacity of 220kWh.
