Australia: Newcastle hydrogen hub plans unveiled by Origin and Orica

A 55MW electrolyser is set to deliver a safe, reliable and commercial scale green hydrogen supply chain in the city of Newcastle, Australia.

Origin Energy and Orica have joined forces to act on the vision that hopes to see green hydrogen produced from sustainably sourced water and renewable electricity.

The transportation industry is set to benefit from the hub, with several heavy vehicle and transport operators, such as Red Bus Services and Aluminium Revolutionary Chassis Company (ARCC), having committed to supporting the project.
