Australia’s Energy Estate acquires site in California’s Arches hydrogen hub


Australian clean energy developer Energy Estate has acquired the San Luis Industrial Complex (SLIC) in California for an undisclosed amount, marking its entry into the US hydrogen industry.

This site will be used to produce green hydrogen using solar power to support local industries, such as transport and agriculture. Furthermore, the project is part of Arches, California’s $12.6bn state-backed hydrogen hub initiative.

“The partnership with Archers represents a significant milestone in the pursuit of our clean industrial hub strategy in North America, building on the hubs and ecosystems we’ve been developing in Australia, New Zealand and other markets,” explained Vincent Dwyer, Co-founder and CEO of Energy Estate.
