Ballard fuel cell developments supported by $300,000 from Innovate BC

Innovative BC Awards has awarded Ballard Power Systems with $300,000 to support the development of high-power density fuel cells for heavy duty zero emission vehicles.

The capital was rewarded as part of Innovative BC’s Ignite programme, through which it has supported four biotech, cleantech, mining and robotics projects with over $1m of funds.

Ballard Power Systems, along with Simon Fraser University, will benefit $300,000 to develop the next generation of cost-effect, high-power density fuel cell membrane electrode assemblies for heavy-duty vehicles.
