BeHydro to deploy hydrogen engines in Japan under new partnership


BeHydro will introduce its dual-fuel and 100% hydrogen engine technology to Japan’s coastal and port operations under a new collaboration with local maritime and engineering firms.

The engines, which have already been used in Europe, will now be adapted to meet Japanese standards and will be supported by local testing, commissioning and after-sales service.

Specifically, two sets of V12 BeHydro dual-fuel hydrogen engines will be installed on a tugboat being constructed by Tsuneishi Shipbuilding, which is expected to be delivered next month.
