BMWi provides €10.9m to Air Liquide’s 20MW electrolyser for green hydrogen production

The German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) has provided €10.9m ($12.96m) in funding to support Air Liquide’s construction of a new 20MW electrolyser for green hydrogen production.

The project will see a new PEM electrolyser integrated into the existing local pipeline infrastructure of Air Liquide.

This will allow renewable hydrogen produced from water and renewable electricity to supply one of the most industrialised regions of Germany.
