Bosch secures rights to PowerCell’s fuel cell stack in €6m China-focused deal


Germany’s Robert Bosch has acquired extended rights to offer PowerCell’s 129kW S3 hydrogen fuel cell stack in the Chinese automotive market under a €6m ($6.9m) agreement.

Building on an already established partnership, the two companies aim to implement hydrogen fuel cells into vehicles, while also focusing on using them in backup power and industrial machines.

“To meet the rapidly growing demand for high-performance fuel cell stacks in China, Bosch has acquired extended use rights for its China-based stack development for the Automotive market,” PowerCell stated online.
