Bureau Veritas reveals new rule note for hydrogen fuel cell safety in the maritime industry

Hydrogen and fuel cells hold promise within the maritime sector and could be a revolutionary method to decarbonise a crucial sector and achieve net zero goals.

One of the primary concerns is the safety aspect in using hydrogen fuel cells and with this, Bureau Veritas (BV), a world leader in testing, inspection, and certification, has released a new rule note (NR 547) on fuel cell power systems on board ships.
