Calvera primed to answer the challenges in hydrogen compression

Spanish hydrogen station manufacturer Calvera is in the middle of a transformational process and scale up. After more than 45 years manufacturing hydrogen high pressure storage – mainly tube trailers – times are changing and Calvera is observing growth in the direction of greener solutions and services.

Current demand from countries in the international market is similar, from the more initiated countries in hydrogen developments to all the countries that are pushing hard on hydrogen implementation. In the end, all countries will be massive users of green hydrogen in their energy pool; this is now completely clear and the main road map for the sector after many years of discrete and persistence sector development.

For Calvera, hydrogen has been key in its new important chapter of the company and current role in the market. A company with strong roots in manufacturing and assembly, traditionally the main scale up baseline of Calvera is the consolidation of its high skilled engineering services. In order to offer the safest and most efficient solution to its customers, it is mandatory to work together from the beginning of projects, making all the engineering steps and delivery of the equipment in one only pack.

Since 2016, Calvera has been manufacturing hydrogen refuelling stations. This has given the company the vision of where the market is going and more importantly, how to achieve technically the challenging demand that is coming.
