Chile is launching a new subsidy programme to boost green hydrogen production and use within the industrial Biobío region.
The state development agency Corfo said the ‘Industrial Rings’ programme would provide subsidies for up to 60% of a project’s cost, capped at $5m per project.
Funds will be directed to projects aimed at increasing green hydrogen demand in Biobío, which hosts heavy industries like steel, petrochemicals, refining and pulp making.
