Chinese fuel cell bus celebrates milestone

A PowerCell-powered fuel cell bus in China has successfully travelled 40,000 kilometres, the equivalent of one lap around the world.

The bus is one of several Wuhan Tiger buses that have been equipped with PowerCell’s S2 fuel cell stacks.

“This shows that our leading fuel cell technology really meets the requirements of use under real conditions,” said Yibo Zhao, President of PowerCell Fuel Cell, PowerCell’s Chinese subsidiary.

Wuhan Tiger Fuel Cell Company has been a customer to PowerCell since 2017 and has the ambition to develop fuel cell powered vehicles for the Chinese market along with Chinese vehicle manufacturer Skywell.
