Clean Energy Holding Alliances gains hydrogen-focused partner

California-based RockeTruck has joined the Clean Energy Holdings Alliance to provide hydrogen technologies and infrastructure expertise.

Announced last Saturday (June 4), RockeTruck will also provide hydrogen infrastructure and transportation technology, to the Oregan-based Coast 2 Coast Logistics (C2C).

RockeTruck is developing ‘advanced green hydrogen fuel cell technologies’, for power generation, transportation, and mobility solutions, which are set to be utilised by the alliance.

The company will bring its advanced hydrogen and electric-powered Class 8 truck designs to the alliance, in the hope to provide further clean mobility solutions to the North American market.

Michael Simon, President and CEO of RockeTruck, said, “RockeTruck looks forward to collaborating with Clean Energy Holdings and its other alliance partners to help meet the nation’s critical need for a robust and affordable green hydrogen infrastructure.

“While also advancing the development of clean transportation solutions that utilise green hydrogen to address climate change and reduce our dependence on fossil fuels.”

H2 View understands, the alliance will advise on design solutions and offer projects to integrate the new technologies.

Cornelius Fitzgerald, President of Clean Energy Holdings, commented, “The RockeTruck team has a wealth of real-world experience in hydrogen-focused technologies. We look forward to a long-term collaborative relationship between our groups to drive green hydrogen solutions forward.”

Coast 2 Coast Logistics will utilise RockeTruck’s hydrogen technology and infrastructure experience to minimise its carbon footprint in a bit to clean up the transportation sector.

Denis Hickey, CEO of Coast 2 Coast Logistics, said, “We believe that the experience of the team and the ability for C2C Logistics to add value is an opportunity worth advancing as we continue to achieve the goals of the alliance.

“We are driven by improved commercial and environmental results for the market in transportation. Our basis for design is to cost effectively and safely provide reliable green hydrogen solutions for transportation and logistics.”

North American Hydrogen Summit

H2 View is taking its events platform to America’s original clean hydrogen hub of California. Together with the California Fuel Cell Partnership (CaFCP), we will stage our North American Hydrogen Summit in San Francisco on July 14-15.

As our summit theme Building Bridges: Hydrogen hubs and investment suggests, the event will explore the $8bn of funding announced to create at least four regional hydrogen hubs in the US. These hubs will turbo-charge the nation’s progress toward heavy trucking and industrial sectors that run without producing carbon pollution – and they may just provide the path forward to a hydrogen-fuelled future.

With California and Texas vying to be America’s hydrogen capital today, where are the hubs of tomorrow? Further still, what can other states, and countries, learn from California’s success story? And how can we build bridges to a successful flow of international investment?

If you are a member of the CaFCP, be sure to grab your ticket at a discounted rate with a code that can be provided to you by the events team.
