Yesterday in Brussels the European Commission presented a new European Industrial Strategy which included the launch of a Clean Hydrogen Alliance.
The European Industrial Strategy will aim to help Europe lead the transition towards climate neutrality and digital leadership.
The strategy will set out the key drivers of Europe’s industrial transformation and proposes a comprehensive set of future actions which is where the Clean Hydrogen Alliance comes into play.
It will also play a big role within the Smart Sector Integration section of the strategy.
“We welcome the proposal of the Clean Hydrogen Alliance, which can exploit all benefits that hydrogen can bring to the EU economy and jobs,” said Bart Biebuyck, FCH JU Executive Director.
“This initiative is clear evidence of the success of public private partnerships and we will actively support it.”
The Alliance will bring investors together with governmental, institutional and industrial partners, building on the successful template of existing industrial alliances, and the work done within the framework of the FCH JU.
