Company profile: Hydrotechnik

Hydrotechnik UK is now in its 31st year of providing pressure, temperature and flow test and data logging equipment to various industrial sectors. Specialising in test equipment for gases and oils to industrial, construction, F1, aerospace and other markets, Hydrotechnik is increasingly developing a wide testing and measurement portfolio for the emerging hydrogen sector.

Formed by Richard Price in 1990, the company has expanded from a small distribution business to a medium-sized design and manufacturing operation that is involved in increasingly technical test and monitoring solutions. The company has a huge range of datalogging, sensor and test rig experience that it brings to bear in the hydrogen sector.

“This is a truly exciting time to be involved in the hydrogen market as we have products for various parts of the hydrogen value chain, from sensors to wireless transmitters through to test rigs for testing components or high-pressure vessels,” said Richard Price, Managing Director of Hydrotechnik UK Ltd.

Hydrotechnik is primarily a supplier of high-quality sensors, instrumentation and high-speed data logging solutions. For the hydrogen market there is a growing range of pressure and temperature sensors, all in 316 stainless steel, with EC79, DNV and Atex approvals if required. Test rigs and wireless remote sensor monitoring are rapidly growing parts of the business, all which have their part to play as the world embraces the use of hydrogen. Mini pressure sensors for hydrogen drone applications is a speciality, as are standard 4-20mA sensors for refuelling stations, fuel cell systems etc. Pressures from -1 up to 1,200 bar are catered for. As well as temperature sensors (-50°C to 200°C) for keeping an eye on fuel cells and equipment.
