CPH2 membrane-less electrolyser pilot success attracts FID-ready hydrogen projects, says CEO


The boss of Clean Power Hydrogen (CPH2) says the membrane-less electrolyser maker is in discussions with projects that have “clear” routes to final investment decision (FID), after its first unit passed site tests in Northern Ireland.

Speaking to H2 View, Jon Duffy said that the recent site acceptance test (SAT) of the company’s 0.5MW MFE110 pilot unit at Northern Ireland Water’s (NIW) Belfast site was an “incredibly proud moment,” but stressed the need to replicate the success commercially.

“We need to make sure that we replicate this in the commercial journey and take that step from R&D into proper commerciality,” he said.
