Cummins joins the Hydrogen Engine Alliance

Cummins announced on Tuesday (June 7) that it has joined the Hydrogen Engine Alliance, an initiative bringing together European industry representatives to support research and development for sustainable hydrogen internal combustion engines (ICE).

Despite large-scale development of hydrogen fuel cell electric power solutions, hydrogen ICEs remain popular due to the long-standing technology, with many believing it could lead to faster deployment in a wider range of markets.

Cummins recently unveiled its fuel-agnostic engine range which includes hydrogen ICEs in 6.7 to 15 litre models for on and off-road applications.
