ENA calls for clear UK net zero strategy plans with hydrogen included

Nine of Britain’s top energy trade associations have issued a statement through the Energy Networks Association (ENA) to help drive a net zero economy ahead of COP26 with hydrogen included.

One of these targets includes setting clear, ambitious targets for the full breadth of renewable technologies and robust framework for delivery including 5GW of green hydrogen electrolyser capacity.

As well as this, 40GW of offshore wind, 40GW of solar, 30GW of onshore wind, 2GW of floating wind and 1GW of marine energy are all targets that should be laid out with a clear plan to restore nuclear capacity at least to existing levels.
