Energy Observer teams up with CNES

In order to successfully complete its mission to promote renewable energies and raise awareness about the challenges of the energy and ecological transition, Energy Observer has partnered with France’s National Centre for Space Studies (CNES).

Formerly a legendary racing boat, Energy Observer is the world’s first energy self-sufficient seagoing vessel powered by hydrogen.

To draw energy from nature, without damaging or wasting it, is Energy Observer’s mission. The floating laboratory relies on a mixture of renewable energies to produce its clean hydrogen from seawater and store it aboard: a world first.
