EnerVenue launches new Gigafactory to develop metal-hydrogen ESVs

Metal-hydrogen battery manufacturer EnerVenue will open a one-million-square-foot Gigafactory in Shelby County, Kentucky.

In the project’s first phase, the plant is expected to encompass 1GW hour of annual production, with EnerVenue then investing in excess of $1bn to expand to more than 20GW hours per year across its manufacturing sites in subsequent phases.

The 73-acre site is set to become the company’s ‘state-of-the-art’ manufacturing plant for its Energy Storage Vessels (ESVs), with all aspects of design and process validation, manufacturing and testing being performed onsite.
