Engie announces new CEO

French energy group Engie has appointed Catherine MacGregor as its new CEO, effective 1st January 2021.

MacGregor currently runs Technip Energies, TechnipFMC Group’s onshore and offshore engineering and construction arm.

Commenting on the new appointment, MacGregor said, “On the strength of our shared industry culture and my operational experience, I will work with all of our teams to achieve our goal of enabling Engie to accelerate the energy transition.”

Engie has positioned itself as a major player in renewable hydrogen and operates along the entire length of the hydrogen venue chain, from production of renewable energies to end uses.
