‘Europe’s largest’ hydrogen-based e-fuels plant inaugurated in Germany


Ineratec’s large-scale green hydrogen-based e-fuels plant in Frankfurt, Germany, has officially entered commercial operation.

After producing the first litres of synthetic e-fuel last month, Ineratec held the official inauguration ceremony in Frankfurt today (June 3). The company announced on LinkedIn, “Our pioneer plant for e-Fuel production in Frankfurt is ready to take off.”

Understood to be Europe’s largest e-fuels project, “Era One” is expected to produce up to 2,500 tonnes of e-fuel per year. Construction began in 2023, and commissioning was originally scheduled for 2024.
