First CPH2 licensee to start electrolyser build in Ireland this year


CPH2’s first licensee is expected to begin constructing its first membrane-less electrolyser units later this year, as it looks to produce green hydrogen across its Irish solar and wind projects.

The UK-based electrolyser OEM has submitted manufacturing and design license documentation to Hidrigin, which would allow it and its manufacturing partner, Jones Engineering, to start preparing for production.

The relatively unknown renewable energy developer signed the 20-year licensing deal last year to allow it to manufacture 2GW of CPH2’s 1MW units in Ireland.
