FirstElement Fuel orders compressor system for Californian hydrogen station network

FirstElement Fuel has ordered a compressor system from gas compression solutions company Burckhardt Compression, to support the development of its growing hydrogen station network in California.

Burckhardt Compression today (10th Nov) said that it had received an order from the company to help the growth of its “True Zero Hydrogen Network” which it is developing with the State of California, Honda, Toyota, Mitsui and Air Liquide.

Tim Brown, Chief Technology Officer of FirstElement Fuel, said, “We are excited to work with an experienced partner like Burckhardt Compression on this critical project – an organisation that shares our vision for changing the future of transportation with hydrogen”

As part of the order, Burckhardt will provide a vertical non-lube API-618 compressor, type 3C4YC1.32_1, using its Persisto® sealing material in addition to a Redura® piston and packing configurations for longer running time between maintenance intervals.
