FuelCell Energy begins operations at California site

American fuel cell solutions company FuelCell Energy has begun operations at its 2.8megawatt fuel cell project in Tulare, California’s waste-water treatment facility.

The power plant is fuelled by the city’s biogas, which is treated by the SureSource TreatmentTM system, a clean-up technology developed FuelCell Energy.

The company’s power generation solutions are created to address customer needs such as distributed hydrogen, fuel cell carbon capture and natural gas let-down station energy recovery.

“I am proud of our team for delivering the Tulare Biogas Project,” said Jason Few, FuelCell Energy’s President and CEO.
