Fusion Fuel and Toshiba ESS partner with plans to reduce costs of PEM electrolysers

Fusion Fuel Green PLC and Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions Corporation (Toshiba ESS) have partnered to reduce the cost of proton-exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysers.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), announced today (May 19), Fusion Fuel and Toshiba ESS will seek to evaluate Toshiba ESS’ membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs), to develop a cost-competitive alternative to current solutions.

Development of the green hydrogen economy has accelerated amidst the mobilisation of significant funding support in Europe and Asia for hydrogen projects.
