GAC Group successfully develops new cutting-edge hydrogen engine

Chinese-based GAC Group has successfully ignited its new hydrogen engine with the group exploring a range of possible zero-emission technologies.

Developed based on the groups fourth-generation engine technology, the hydrogen variant has been developed independently by the group with its research and development team optimising the hydrogen engine through several innovations.

For the engine, GAC developed a combustion chamber that improves the mixing process of hydrogen and air whilst also making improvements to the hydrogen supply system which improves the power density and reduces the risk of hydrogen leakage.
