German Ministers perceive the EU’s hydrogen targets as ‘unrealistic’ in joint statement

Two German Ministers have revealed that intermediate targets for hydrogen set by the European Commission could be detrimental to its development and have asked for these to be revised.

With this, Steffi Lemke, German Minister for the Environment, and Robert Habeck, German Minister for the Economy and Climate, have asked the EU to revise the targets for hydrogen to ensure the market can be developed at an accelerated rate.
