Germany joins H2Med under new Franco-German hydrogen commitments

Germany is set to join the H2Med pipeline project between France, Spain, and Portugal, after the German and French Governments announce commitments to ‘strengthen the European Union.’

Expected to come as the ‘first’ major hydrogen corridor in the EU, the pipeline is anticipated to carry 10% of continent’s hydrogen consumption, equating to two million tonnes per year, coming as part of a European hydrogen backbone.
