Graphitic Energy and Technip Energies partner to scale methane pyrolysis for clean hydrogen


Graphitic Energy and Technip Energies have joined forces to scale up methane pyrolysis technology for clean hydrogen and graphite production.

Under a Strategic Collaboration, Technip Energies will provide funding for the testing and validation of Graphitic’s technology and bring hydrogen production and fluidised bed expertise.

Later this year, the two companies also plan to enter into a licensing collaboration agreement to accelerate the deployment of Graphitic’s technology across the globe.

Graphitic’s process is reportedly highly scalable, too. One production unit can produce up to 100,000 tonnes of hydrogen annually, which is a large-scale industrial output.
