Green hydrogen and ammonia mega project welcomed by Chilean Ministry of Energy

The Minister of Energy for Chile has welcomed a new agreement between Trammo and HNH Energy that will see the development of a hydrogen and green ammonia facility in Magallanes.

The new facility is expected to produce one million tonnes of green ammonia, derived from hydrogen, in a 2GW wind farm in Magallanes, Chile.

AustriaEnergy has partnered with Oekowind, a company which develops and operates wind, hydro, and solar power plants, for this project in Chile.

They have already accomplished the first important milestones in this project development and plan to start operating and producing green ammonia in Chile within the next five years.
