H2Brazil to invest €1.3bn in green hydrogen and ammonia projects


Project developer H2Brazil has reportedly announced plans to invest over €1.3bn ($1.5bn) into two hydrogen and ammonia projects located in the South American country.

The two investments will be directed towards flagship project clusters in Minas Gerais and at the Port of Açu in Rio de Janeiro.

The main project will be located in Uberaba’s Export Processing Zone (ZPE), a special tax-advantaged area. Local reports have suggested that the initiative will produce 125,000 tonnes per year of green hydrogen and 700,000 tonnes per year of green ammonia.
