Engineering and technology firm Kellogg Brown and Root (KBR) will help Hazer Group market, license and deploy its methane pyrolysis hydrogen production technology in the ammonia and methanol sectors.
Under a binding Alliance Agreement, KBR will provide its global market network reach, enable the Australian firm to scale with a low-risk, capital-light licensing model, retain full IP ownership, and pursue multiple deals over six years, particularly in North America and the Middle East.
Additionally, the total cost of the alliance work programme is anticipated to be in the range AUD $3m ($1.9m)-$5m ($3.2m). KBR will contribute around AUD $3m towards a joint development programme to help fund the development and commercial rollout of Hazer’s technology.
