Hexagon awarded contract for aerospace customer

Hexagon Purus has been awarded a contract for its Type 4 composite pressure vessels, to be compatible with hydrogen storage, to help a new aerospace customer launch its vehicle.

Through the contract, valued at approximately $5.2m, Hexagon will design, develop, qualify and produce its Type 4 vessels for delivery in the first quarter of 2021.

The contract marks the company’s second collaboration in the aerospace industry; however, future orders are expected to follow the successful delivery of the first shipment.

Commenting on the contract, Jim Harris, Managing Director at Hexagon Purus, said, “We are excited to be working on this project and to be partners in the future of spaceflights.”
