Hitachi delivers rectifiers to $4bn Chinese green hydrogen, ammonia, methanol project


China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) has received rectifier transformers from Hitachi Energy at its 110,000 tonne per year green hydrogen plant in Jilin province.

The Hitachi transformers will be used to convert high-voltage AC power into low-voltage DC to power the approximate 640MW of electrolysers being deployed at the $4bn Songyuan Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park.

Hitachi said its transformers will offer low losses and high stability to ensure cost-effective hydrogen production.
