Honeywell begins engineering for commercial MCH-based hydrogen supply chain
Honeywell has begun basic engineering work with Japanese energy company Eneos to develop a commercial hydrogen supply chain using a methylcyclohexane (MCH) dehydrogenation process.
The system will be part of Honeywell’s liquid organic hydrogen carrier solution, which can reportedly allow hydrogen to be safely transported over long distances.
The project will include production, storage, transportation, distribution, and material recovery to recycle components involved in the hydrogen process.
