HRS to supply two hydrogen refuelling stations for France’s Zero Emission Valley project

Hydrogen Refuelling Systems (HRS) is set to supply two, one tonne per day stations for HYmpulsion’s Zero Emission Valley (ZEV) project in France.

The ZEV project is aimed at developing a profitable and sustainable carbon-free sector in France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region by rolling out infrastructure for green hydrogen production, storage, and distribution.

Under the ZEV plans, as well as building production capacity, HYmpulsion plans to deploy 18 refuelling stations, 450 light fuel cell vehicles, and 115 buses, trucks, and coaches by 2024, to drive the region forward as a pioneer in French hydrogen mobility.

HRS’ HRS14 stations, which can offer 14kg/hour, are expected to be installed in Lyon Saint-Exupéry and Malataverne for the BEV project.

In January this year (2023), HRS signed framework agreement for the firm order of eight refuelling stations with pHYnix, becoming a preferred supplier of infrastructure for projects in Portugal, Spain, and France.

“HRS is delighted to become more involved in the ZEV programme,” said Hassen Rachedi, Founding Chairman & CEO of HRS. “There are still some stations yet to be delivered as part of the ZEV programme and we believe we can provide our extensive know-how to help build one of Europe’s boldest hydrogen programmes.”

Thierry Raevel, Chairman of HYmpulsion, commented, “I am delighted to continue working with HRS. Together we will help promote the seamless development of the environment while creating jobs in the region.”
