Hydnum plans to supply hydrogen-based green steel to Kingspan

Hydnum Steel will supply an undisclosed amount of hydrogen-based green steel to Irish insulation and building materials firm Kingspan Group from its plant in Puertollano, Spain.

In an online statement, Hydnum said the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) represents the two companies’ environmental commitments, particularly around resource efficiency and reducing the environmental impact of steel production and construction materials.

“The use of green steel becomes a fundamental pillar for achieving decarbonisation goals and progressing towards more sustainable and energy-efficient buildings,” Hydnum stated.
