Hydrogen bus being trialled in Kent, UK

Kent has become the latest UK county to trial hydrogen-powered buses.

In recognition of Clean Air Day yesterday (June 17), Kent City Council said it has partnered to trial a hydrogen-powered Caetano Hydrogen bus in Sevenoaks until June 24.

A single deck bus, the H2 City Gold model offers a driving range of 250 miles, providing a emissions-free alternative for high mileage routes.

“This is a very exciting trial for us, and we will be evaluating this innovative new technology to assess whether it can provide an alternative for diesel buses in the county,” said David Brazier, Kent County Council Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport.
