Hydrogen to power Scottish festival in the Western Isles

A clean power start-up based in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland, is set to provide zero-emission power from hydrogen to an iconic festival in the Western Isles this summer.

Harris-based PlusZero revealed today (June 15), that is plans to replace diesel generators at the HebCelt Festival with green hydrogen-powered alternatives for the Outer Hebridean festival’s 25^th anniversary.

The innovative combustion engine generator is set to be fuelled by hydrogen produced at PlusZero’s production facility in Stornoway, Lewis and Harris from renewable electricity.
