Hydrogen Utopia, Powerhouse Energy redraw Irish waste plastic-to-hydrogen plans

Hydrogen Utopia International (HUI) and Powerhouse Energy Group (PHE) have relocated their planned Irish waste plastic-to-hydrogen project from Tippery to Longford.

Under a newly agreed Heads of Terms (HoTs), the companies, under an Ireland-incorporated joint venture, on a 50:50 basis will look to develop a hydrogen production facility from waste plastic at the Fishertown Energy Park in County Longford.

The partners previously announced a project at a site in Lanespark in County Tippery under the same terms, but have said, “the latter agreements will be mutually terminated without any further obligation on either party.”
