Hydrom integrates Acme’s Duqm hydrogen project into national framework


Hydrom, the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (Opaz), and Acme Group have formally integrated Phases 2 and 3 of Acme’s green hydrogen and ammonia project into Oman’s national hydrogen portfolio.

As part of a project development agreement, the Duqm initiative marks the full consolidation of commercial hydrogen developments into a unified national framework.

Each new phase will produce 71,000 tonnes of green hydrogen and 400,000 tonnes of green ammonia. Combined with phase one, the total ammonia production is expected to reach just short of one million tonnes per year.
