E.ON Energy Infrastructure Solutions could explore opportunities to replicate its planned hydrogen-based e-methanol network beyond Scotland, including in Northern Europe
The initial HyLion pilot in Lockerbie is expected to convert 63,000 tonnes of biogenic CO2 annually into over 9,000 tonnes of hydrogen and 45,500 tonnes of e-methanol by 2028.
“The HyLion model is inherently scalable and offers a blueprint that could be adapted to other regions, particularly within Scotland and across Northern Europe,” Rob Lowe, Head of B2B and Generation at E.ON Energy Infrastructure Solutions, told H2 View.
