Hyundai to expand its hydrogen portfolio; invests in Pajarito Powder

Hyundai Motor Company has today (August 4) said it wants to expand its portfolio in the hydrogen industry and strengthen the establishment of a hydrogen ecosystem.

The vehicle manufacturer’s commitment is a result of a Series-B investment which it has recently placed in the US-based start-up Pajarito Powder.

By investing in the company, Pajarito Powder will now support Hyundai in its hydrogen-fuelled mission and bring its high-performance catalyst products to market.

Welcoming the support from Hyundai, Thomas Stephenson, CEO and Chairman of Pajarito Powder, said, “With one of the most successful fuel cell programmes in the world, Hyundai’s investment and backing adds high-level credibility to our work and accelerates our ability to bring high-performance catalyst products to the rapidly growing green hydrogen market.
