Hyzon Motors’ hydrogen trucks to hit Californian roads this year

Hyzon Motors’ hydrogen-powered trucks will soon hit Californian roads as a result of a newly inked trial agreement with port trucking company Total Transport Services.

The zero-emission vehicle manufacturer today (August 11) said a Class 8 heavy-duty fuel cell electric vehicle will be sent over to the sunshine state to endure a 30-day trial.

As well as marking Hyzon’s entry into the Californian market, the deal is also the first Total Transport Services’ first experience with zero emissions vehicles.

To be delivered in the fourth quarter of this year, the truck will be built on a 2022 Freightliner Cascadia chassis and is expected to have 600 peak horsepower and a range of up to 400 miles.
